Tarifa, Andalucía, Spain
TerrazaAtlántica
Two seas. Two continents. Three terraces.
The Apartment
Elevated above
the rooftops
Perched high above the whitewashed rooftops of Tarifa, Terraza Atlántica sits at Europe's most southerly point. From the three terraces, two worlds reveal themselves simultaneously: the shimmering Mediterranean to the east and the wide Atlantic to the west, stretching to Punta Paloma's windswept dunes.
From the rear terrace, the view south is startling. Over the rooftops of the old town, past Europe's southernmost lighthouse, Africa sits just fourteen kilometres away. On a clear morning — and there are many — you can make out individual windmills and buildings on the Moroccan coast. The Rif mountains rise from the sea in layers of violet and ochre. There is nowhere else in Europe with a view quite like this.
Inside, two bedrooms sleep up to four guests comfortably. Whitewashed walls, warm timber floors, rattan, and linen. The arched window frames the sunset each evening like a painting that changes nightly. The open-plan kitchen and living room open directly onto the Atlantic terrace — with secure underground parking and the community pool and gardens below.
Terraza Atlántica also welcomes longer stays. Whether you are here for a week of kitesurfing, a month of remote working, or simply to slow down — Tarifa's year-round mild climate and reliable winds make it a destination in any season.

The Views
Two seas.
One horizon.
East
The Mediterranean & The Strait
Watch cargo ships, dolphins, and the occasional whale navigate one of the world's most trafficked waterways. Europe's southernmost lighthouse stands sentinel just beyond the old town.
— 14 km from Africa
South
Africa — a different continent
From the rear terrace, look over the whitewashed rooftops of the old town to Europe's southernmost lighthouse — and beyond it, Africa. On a clear morning you can make out individual windmills and buildings on the Moroccan coast. Fourteen kilometres never felt so close.
— Windmills visible on clear days
West
The Atlantic & Punta Paloma
The kite surfers of Valdevaqueros appear as vivid dots of colour against the wide Atlantic. To the west, the golden dunes of Punta Paloma curve along Europe's wildest shore. In spring, the world-famous Almadraba fishing nets are set just offshore — a millennia-old tradition that delivers what many consider the finest bluefin tuna on earth.

Wind Sports
Kite Surfing & Windsurfing
Tarifa is the wind capital of Europe. World-class conditions on Valdevaqueros and Los Lances beaches, with every major kite school and rental within minutes. The Levante and Poniente winds blow reliably from spring through autumn.
Nature
Birdwatching
The Strait of Gibraltar is one of the great migration crossings of the world. Millions of raptors, storks, honey buzzards and rare species funnel through each spring and autumn. The Migratory Bird Observatory is minutes away.
Marine Life
Whale & Dolphin Watching
The Strait is one of Europe's finest spots for cetaceans. Orcas, sperm whales, fin whales, and multiple dolphin species use these waters year-round. Specialist boat tours depart from Tarifa harbour daily.
Wellness
Yoga & Wellness Retreats
Tarifa's natural light, clean Atlantic air, and unhurried pace attract yoga teachers and retreat leaders from across Europe. Three terraces mean sunrise salutations over the Atlantic or sunset meditation above whitewashed rooftops.
Active
Trekking, Cycling & Horse Riding
Los Alcornocales Natural Park — one of Europe's great cork oak forests — begins at the city limits. World-class trails for hiking and mountain biking, with horse-riding outfitters just outside town.
Culture
Local Culture & Cuisine
The annual Ruta del Atún tuna festival, flamenco evenings, Moorish history in the old medina, local bodegas, and the colour of La Feria — all within ten minutes' walk from the apartment.

"We came for the kitesurfing and stayed for everything else. The view from the terrace is genuinely unlike anything I've seen — Morocco feels close enough to touch. The apartment is beautifully put together and the location is perfect. Already planning the return trip."
